QUALIFICATIONS: 

In addition to private theory teaching, Heather has taught second-year Harmony at Acadia University and TA'd first-year Harmony at the University of Victoria.  In her undergraduate and graduate studies, Heather excelled in all theory courses, including Counterpoint and Schenkerian Analysis.  Her students consistently achieve First-Class Honours results on Theory Exams.

THEORY AT DUNHAM MUSIC STUDIO:

Elementary Music Theory and History is incorporated into all private piano lessons from the very beginning.

For students who have reached the RCM Grade 1 Rudiments level, and students from other studios, group theory classes are offered.

Classes are available at all levels, from Preliminary Rudiments through Grade 5 Counterpoint.  History is also available.

Private lessons will be offered if there is  not sufficient enrolment to run a group class for any particular grade.
